Yazarlar Hakkında:

Phillip Brottman, MD, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician. He currently serves as faculty for Kaplan Medical and teaches Step 2 CS in Chicago. Prior to that, Dr. Brottman served as a medical director and as an academic physician teaching in the lecture hall and bedside. He has personally seen and supervised his students and residents in approximately 40,000 patient visits over his lifetime. Having seen so many patients—most of them in about 15 minutes—uniquely qualifies Dr. Brottman on the best practices for gaining the patient’s trust and collecting the needed history/physical in a brief amount of time.

Sonia E. Reichert, MD, is the former Director of Curriculum for Kaplan Medical and is currently an Internal Medicine Resident at SUNY Downstate, Brooklyn. After completing the new Step 2 Clinical Skills course, she was involved in establishing Kaplan Medical’s Step 2 CS facilities, training standardized patients, and helping to develop Kaplan’s CS cases and grading system for Kaplan Medical’s live classes. Dr. Reichert regularly attended National Board conferences to best understand all facets of the Clinical Skills exam—its structure, testing, and scoring. Because Dr. Reichert completed her medical degree overseas, she brings an international perspective that is invaluable to International Medical Graduates taking the Step 2 CS and other U.S. Medical licensure exams.

Yorumlar:

Yorum 1: What I liked about the book is , it didn't waste my time reading irrelevant information about what's the test or how it is projected (I beleive all Med. graduates and USMLE students know pretty much enough about the system).. this book just gave a very breif right on the money good information about the test then stroke towards the most often tested cases.

Yorum 2: If you're an IMG, this book is outstanding. It really coaches you on the best phraseology to use around your standardized patients and provides some great tips on exam strategy.

Overall, the book is pretty good. It's a little less useful for AMG's, but it's a decent review for everyone.
