bu efsane bir kitaptir!!! step bire girmeden en az uc kez okunmalidir, ki ben iki kez okudum, sinava bir ay kala bir kez daha okucam. Goljan is GOD, and I m praing for him and his holy book!! gibi yazilar butun yabanci sitelerde hep yazilir! audio lectures herese oneriyorum, googlda kolaylikla bulunur. bulamazsaniz bana yazin... sunumlari simdi ikinci kez dinliyorum, harika bir sey, bu adam insan vucudunun icinden sunum yapiyormus gibi anlatiyor. ayrica first aid 2011 de RP patoloji goljan icin A vermis, ve sayfa sayisi 656, ama metin sayfa sayisi 602, sonrasin index...
Ayrica bu kitap hic okumazsaniz, eksi 10-15 puan gibi bir tahminler bulunuyor yabanci sitelerde, spikulatif mi bilmiyorum ama okuyanlar ve okumayanlar arasinda olye bir fark var.
Son olarak bu kitab amazondan alin, hayat boyunca merak edip acabileceginiz bir kitaptir, hele de dahile ya da patology dusunuyorsaniz. studenconsultta 350 - 450 gibi bi soru sayisi var tam emin degilim. ve sorularla ilgili hic bir sorun yasamadim! yalniz kitabi okuduktan sonra ve adamin sunumlarini dinledikten sonra sorular cok kolay dinleniyor. ve UW ile kiyasladinda cok kolay gorunuyor.

Birinci basamak için çalışırken çok faydalandığım bir kitaptır. Kaplan Patolojiden daha ayrıntılıdır ancak bence bu ayrıntılar gereklidir.Kitap konuları güzel bir sistemle anlatmış, ilk önce büyük başlık, ardından konuyla ilgili küçük başlıklar.Öyle uzun sıkıcı paragraflar yok.Alt alta dizilmiş başlıklarda açıklayıcı cümleler mevcut.Ayrıca kitaptaki şekiller çok güzel özellikle deri patolojisi ile ilgili bölümün resimleri bir hayli zengin.Kitabın içinde 100 soru var eğer satın alırsanız studentconsult.com'dan geri kalan 200 cvarında soruya da ulaşabiliyorsunuz..Şahsen ben de kitabın ebook hali mevcut, sitede telif hakkı olan kitaplar şimdilik paylaşılmadığı için buraya sadece email adresimi yazıyorum:sherbetgula@gmail.com.İlgilenen arkadaşlara gmailden kitabı yollayabilirim, ancak şu konularda uyarayım birincisi kitabın boyutu büyük olduğu için parça parça atabilirim, bir de bendeki halinde az önce bahsettiğim 100 soru yok ki bence büyük bir kayıp değil.Ancak illaki Amazon'dan almak isteyen arkadaşlar varsa onları bir konuda uyarmak isterim, studentconsult.com'da bulunan sorular kısmı tam ben çalışıcağm zaman arıza yapmıştı ve uzun süre düzelmedi.Usmle için patoloji sorularını çözerken bu kitabın çok faydasını gördüm, şahsen bana göre bu kitap step 1'in olmazsa olmazıdır.Kitap toplam 597 sayfadan oluşmaktadır. Addresses key concepts in pathology in a bulleted outline format with many tables and figures. High-yield marginal notes are useful, but the text can appear cluttered at times. The CD-ROM contains additional questions, but
they are not in boards format. Limited student feedback

First of all, I should say frankly, that I like review books from "Robbins" family - "Pocket Companion to Robbins & Cotran PBD" and "Robbins & Cotran Review of Pathology" - more than either "BRS Pathology" or "Rapid Review: Pathology"; on the other hand, if this combo is too much for you, then you should make your choice between BRS and RR; I think that both these books are mandatory if you want to be well prepared for step 1, but, again, this couldn't be an option for many people - they are forced to read either BRS or RR and have a big question - which one is better? my answer is - pick RR - you will not be disappointed.

OK, what do you like in BRS?
Do you like that there are glaring omissions of many high yield topics and you'll be unable to answer many questions on your USMLE step 1? or, maybe, do you like, that BRS has no explanations of mechanisms of pathophysiology - the flesh and bone of the USMLE step 1 - and you'll be forced to cram without understanding?
RR is much more complete and comprehensive; it ellegantly describes pathogenesis, leaving no stone unturned; this book even contains excellent integrated topics from other subjects - for example, concise and very high yield acid-base chapter.

Do you like that in BRS there are boring lengthy descriptions of gross and microscopic pathology, without any picture of what is desribed?
In RR you can find numerous full color slides and drawings, mostly, from "Robbins" - remember, that on your step 1 you'll get many pathology MCQs with accompanying pictures.
Or, do you like, that MCQs in BRS are too easy and not like those on the actual exam?
RR contains many USMLE-ish MCQs and even more - online.

BRS is oversimplified - you'll be reading mostly the stuff you already know, so, you wouldn't need much effort - that's why it's more easy to read BRS than RR - but don't be tempted by comfortable reading - RR will make your performance on the USMLE step 1 much better, than BRS.
