ECFMG ERAS ON-LINE LETTER WRITER PORTAL NOW AVAILABLE

ERAS Support Services at ECFMG is pleased to announce the availability of a new on-line Letter Writer Portal (LWP), which provides letter of recommendation writers with the ability to upload original letters of recommendation (LoRs) directly to ERAS Support Services on behalf of an applicant. In order for a letter writer to upload an LoR on your behalf using LWP, you must send an electronic request to the letter writer using OASIS.

In OASIS, you will be required to enter the contact information of your letter writers including e-mail address. You must indicate whether or not you waive your right to view your LoRs as well as indicate the specialty for which you wish to have the letter writer recommend you. Once you submit your request in OASIS, your letter writer will be sent an e-mail with a link to access LWP and instructions on how to upload a letter in support of your application.

LoRs uploaded through LWP are expected to take one to two weeks to process. Applicants can track the status of their existing LoR requests from the request home page in OASIS.

This is an optional service. If your letter writers will be submitting your documents by mail, please do not submit an electronic request through OASIS.

ERAS Support Services strongly suggests you discuss the LWP process and document requirements with your letter writers and confirm their willingness and ability to participate prior to submitting an electronic request through OASIS.
