Hic bir motivatorun kullanilmadigi Turkiye'deki akademik sistemin Amerika'daki egitim kurumlarindan ornek almasi gerektigini dusunuyorum. Asagidaki ornekler Cleveland Clinic Hastanesi `Graduate Medical Education` birimi tarafindan her yil dagitilan odullerden bazilaridir.

Award Opportunities at The Cleveland Clinic

He who would be a leader must be a bridge. --Old Welsh saying

A variety of annual institutional and departmental award programs encourage residents to participate competitively throughout their training. Nominations are solicited for several of the awards and others, notably the Cash, Lower, Peskind and Tarazi fellowship awards, invite open competition.

Also, each year, Alumni Relations honors its own with special presentations at the annual Recognition Ceremony and winners' names are added to the Alumni Recognition wall in the Education Building.

Joseph Cash Memorial Award for Health Outcomes Research
The Cash Memorial Award was established by friends, family and colleagues of the late Joseph Cash, MD, former Chairman of General Internal Medicine. The prize is intended to encourage original investigation and professional excellence in the preparation of clinical papers on health outcomes on such issues as health resource utilization, cost effectiveness and pharmacoeconomics.

Lower Award
William E. Lower, MD, one of Cleveland Clinic’s founders, established annual awards with the purpose of encouraging original investigation and professional excellence in the preparation of scientific papers.
