MID-JUN
Update your e-mail and mailing addresses and obtain your ERAS Token using ECFMG’s OASIS.

Start researching programs of interest. You can go to the ACGME website for program information or conduct an Internet search of training institutions and ERAS participating specialties and programs.

IMPORTANT NOTE: ERAS does not preclude any students/graduates from participating in ERAS, based on their eligibility for licensure. Before applying to residency programs in a given state, it is your responsibility to become familiar with that state’s licensure requirements and to ensure that you meet any licensure requirements to enter and complete residency training in that state.

JUL 1
MyERAS opens. Once you have registered, start sending your supporting documents to ERAS Support Services at ECFMG. Due to the heavy volume of documents received, the lead time for scanning and uploading documents that are submitted via mail or courier service is up to four weeks from receipt of documents. You will be able to begin applying to programs on September 1 at 8:00 a.m., Eastern Time in the United States.

Start approaching your letter writers to secure letters of recommendation, which should arrive at ECFMG by August 1. Start finalizing your LoR Authors at MyERAS.

SEP 1
At 8:00 a.m., Eastern Time in the United States, you can start using the MyERAS website to transmit your MyERAS application, Profile, and Personal Statement(s) to the ERAS PostOffice.

Registration for the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), or “the Match,” opens on the NRMP website. Register now!

OCT 1
Ensure that the Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) has arrived at ECFMG. It is highly recommended that international medical schools and graduates work to submit MSPEs early.

NOV 1
MSPEs are released to programs by the ERAS PostOffice.

NOV 30
NRMP Match early registration deadline. (You may register after this deadline, but you will be required to pay an additional late registration fee to the NRMP.)

2012

FEB 22

MAR 12
